Image Description: | Evanston, Wyoming - The historic roundhouse and railyards, built by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1912. The building had 28 bays for railcar and locomotive repair, with curved walls 30 feet high. The trenches allowed workers access to the bottom of the equipment they were repairing. UPRR closed the facility in 1971; it is now owned by the city of Evanston and has been partially renovated. |
