Work-Study Student
|
Livonia, Michigan - Briclyn Bailey (left), a student from Cristo Rey High School, works in the birthing center at St. Mary Mercy Hospital. Using a baby mannequin, Tanya Giroux teaches Bailey how to conduct a hearing test on a newborn. The Cristo Rey program places all students in jobs one or two days a week, allowing them to gain experience in a work environment. Twenty-four Cristo Rey Catholic schools across the US provide low-income students with a college preparatory education.
