|
Dearborn, Michigan - June 16, 2003 - Ford Motor Co. celebrated its 100th anniversary with a five-day bash at its world headquarters. Visitors were allowed to take rides in Model T Fords. Environmentalists picketed the event, criticizing Ford for not fulfilling its promise to develop cleaner, more fuel-efficient automobiles. They pointed out that many of the companys vehicles get worse gas mileage than the 25 mpg that the Model T achieved.
