Van Holding 26 Undocumented Immigrants Crashes on Texas Highway

Falfurrias, Texas - A passing driver stops to help a man injured when a van holding 26 undocumented immigrants from Central America overturned on Texas Highway 285. The van had picked up the migrants just down the road after they had completed a several-day walk to get around a Border Patrol checkpoint. Overloaded and unstable, the van crashed as it drove away at high speed. Two seriously-injured men remained at the scene. The others ran off, pursued by Border Patrol officers.
