Workers in Tunnel Under Yucca Mountain, Proposed Site for Nuclear Waste Storage

Nevada Test Site, Nevada - A crew inside Yucca Mountain in Nevada waits as a workers places a roof bolt (to prevent cave-ins) in the main tunnel dug by the Yucca Mountain Project. The YMP hopes to demonstrate that tunnels under Yucca Mountain are a safe place to store highly radioactive nuclear waste for the many thousands of years it will remain dangerous.
