| Image Description: | Redford, Michigan - Fifth and sixth grade students from St. Valentine's Catholic school study the ecology of the Rouge River, which flows through many suburban Detroit communities before emptying into the Detroit River. They were participating in the annual Rouge Education Project in which students from 33 communities monitor biological, chemical and physical characteristics of the river. Their work included sketching pictures which showed characteristics of the river.
