Unity Walk Against Gun Violence
|
Detroit, Michigan - Hundreds marched against gun violence in a "Walk for Unity" on Mack Avenue--the border between mostly black Detroit and largely white Grosse Pointe. The communities have come together since the December 2014 murders of two girls: Christina Samuel, a black Detroit college student, and Paige Stalker, a white Grosse Pointe high school student. Samuel's father, Chris Samuel (left), and Stalker's grandfather, Dave Lawrence, spoke at the end of the march.
