Activists Protest U.S. Immigration Policy

Nogales, Sonora Mexico - 8 October 2016 - Two hands reach out from the U.S. side of the border fence to shake the hand of a person on the Mexican side. Activists held rallies on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border to protest the increasing militarization of the border, the separation of immigrant families, and U.S. policies that make it hard for refugees fleeing repression to enter the United States. The events were organized by the School of the Americas Watch, a group of religious and community activists.
