Flint Water Pipe Replacement

Flint, Michigan - 3 November 2016 - A lead water service line about to be replaced. Large scale replacement of lead and galvanized steel pipes began. The city hopes to replace pipes to 800 homes this fall. Flint's water supply became contaminated with lead after state officials decided in 2014 to take the city's drinking water from the Flint River without adequate treatment.
