International Joint Commission Public Meeting on the Great Lakes

Detroit, Michigan USA - 21 March 2017 - The International Joint Commission held a public meeting on the Great Lakes. The IJC is a binational organization which oversees boundary waters between the United States and Canada. The meeting came days after U.S. President Donald Trump proposed a budget eliminating funds for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, which works to improve water quality on both sides of the border. IJC Commissioners at the meeting were the U.S. Chair, Lana Pollack (standing), and the Canadian Chair, Gordon Walker.
