Water Tank Where Migrant Died in Arizona Desert

Tucson, Arizona - A tank used by ranchers to store water for cattle in the Arizona desert. The cross at the bottom left indicates that a migrant died at this location; he climbed into the tank to get water and drowned when he could not get out. Hundreds of migrants from Mexico and Central America perish each year trying to cross into the United States.
