Community Rallies To Save Kronk Recreation Center

Detroit, Michigan - Residents of a west side Detroit neighborhood rally to save the legendary Kronk recreation center from being closed. The city of Detroit plans to close Kronk and eight other recreation centers to help reduce a $186 million budget deficit. Kronk's boxing program for children age 8 and up has produced champions such as such as Thomas Hearns, Hilmer Kenty, Milton McCrory, Jimmy Paul, and Duane Thomas.
