White House Ruins

Canyon de Chelly, Arizona - The White House ruins on a cliff in Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The ruins are the remains of the Anasazi civilization, which flourished in the southwest U.S. about a thousand years ago. The canyon is now home to the Navajo. Desert varnish coats the thousand-foot-high cliff as autumn colors the trees in the canyon below.
