Raku Firing Ceramics Demonstration

Detroit, Michigan - Members of the Pewabic Pottery Street Team demonstrate the Japanese technique of Raku Firing of pottery at a community arts and music festival. The pottery is heated to 1400 degrees F in the kiln, then cooled in buckets filled with newspaper (which catch fire), and finally droped in a water bath.
