Muslims Donate Lamb to Celebrate Eid al-Adha

Detroit, Michigan - Members of the Michigan Muslim Community Council unload packages of lamb for distribution to the poor during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Eid al-Adha commemorates the story, common to Muslims and Christians, in which God asked Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, but at the last minute substituted a lamb instead. During the holiday Muslims butcher a lamb, keeping part of the meat and donating the rest to anyone in need.
