Detroit Ballot Counting in 2022 Election

Detroit, Michigan USA - 8 November 2022 - City of Detroit election workers count absentee ballots early in the morning of election day. A day earlier, a judge threw out Republican Secretary of State candidate Kristina Karamo's lawsuit asking that all absentee ballots cast in Detroit be disqualified. Wayne County Chief Circuit Judge Timothy Kenny ruled that Karamo's lawsuit lacked “any shred of evidence" of election law violations.
