Detroit, Michigan - A cross with a Black Jesus at St. Matthew's & St. Joseph's Episcopal church. An African-American Episcopal church, St. Matthew's members were active in the Underground Railroad during slavery, helping slaves escape to Canada. St. Matthew's merged with St. Joseph's in 1971.
