Santa Ana del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico - Rural women in the Tlacolula Valley of Oaxaca benefit from a microfinance loan program run by the nonprofit En Via Foundation. Women can get interest-free loans starting at 1500 pesos ($75 US) to start or expand a business. The organization also gives classes in business basics, English, and internet marketing. Microloan recipient Laura Asela Garcia runs a business called Dulce Momentos. She makes decorations for celebrations and other events.
