UAW Fights to Save Jobs at Rouge Steel Mill

Dearborn, Michigan USA - 14 August 2025 - The United Auto Workers union marched and rallied at the the historic Rouge steel mill, demanding that owner Cleveland-Cliffs make the investments promised in its 2024 contract with the UAW. Instead, Cliffs has laid off 500 workers, shutting down much of its steelmaking operations.
