Northville, Michigan - Volunteers search for stoneflies in the Rouge River basin. Stoneflies are sensitive aquatic insects that cannot tolerate pollution. Their presence is an indicator of good water quality. Joe Rathbun digs in the Middle Rouge River with his net, hoping to come up with some of the tiny stoneflies.
