| Image Description: | Detroit, Michigan - Oil from an oil spill on the Rouge River is pumped into a truck to be carted away. The spill, estimated at tens of thousands of gallons, is the largest in the Great Lakes basin in over a decade. Some of the oil flowed into the Detroit River and then into Lake Erie. Coast Guard officials think the oil may have been intentionally dumped into a storm drain.
