Guard at Bioport Industries, Maker of Anthrax Vaccine

Lansing, Michigan--A security guard at the main entrance to Bioport Industries, the only licensed manufacturer of anthrax vaccine in the United States. Formerly owned by the state of Michigan, the company was privatized in 1998. Since then, it has not produced a single dose of anthrax vaccine because it has not been able to pass FDA inspections.
