Environmentalists Picket Ford's 100th Anniversary Celebration

Dearborn, Michigan - Environmentalists picket outside Ford Motor Co.'s 100th anniversary celebration. They said Ford had gone back on its promises to develop cleaner, more fuel efficient automobiles. They noted that Ford's Model T achieved greater gas mileage (25MPG) than many of the company's current models. Groups participating included Global Exchange and the Rainforest Action Network.
