Outdoor Education Center Build on Vacant Lots in Detroit

Detroit, Michigan - An outdoor education center is constructed on vacant lots by the Greening of Detroit and the Osborn Neighborhood Alliance. The Greening of Detroit plans to offer courses at the center to teach neighborhood youth about the natural environment and to introduce them to green job opportunities. Due to population loss, Detroit has more than 20 square miles of vacant land, not including parks.
