Hennepin Canal

Wyanet, Illinois - Men fishing at Lock 21 of the Hennepin Canal. The canal was completed in 1907 to link the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, but it was obsolete almost from the beginning due to declining rail costs. As the Hennepin Canal Parkway State Park, the canal is now used for recreation.
