Massacre Canyon

Trenton, Nebraska - A granite monument marks Massacre Canyon, the site of an 1873 battle between the Sioux and the Pawnee. It was the last major battle between Indian tribes in the United States. The face shows John Grass, a Sioux. On the other side is the Pawnee chief, Ruling His Son.
