Golden Spike National Historical Park

Promontory Summit, Utah - Golden Spike National Historical Park, where the first transcontinental railroad tracks were completed in 1869. Central Pacific locomotive No. 60 (Jupiter) arrived from Sacramento and Union Pacific No. 119 from Omaha. The National Park Service holds periodic reenactments of the event.
