Sterling Heights, Michigan - Mike McBride, a striking Detroit Newspaper Agency worker, holds up a sign to police across the street as thousands of unionists block gates to the DNA's Sterling Heights, Michigan printing plant to keep the company from getting the Sunday newspaper out. The newspapers paid the Sterling Heights police department hundreds of thousands of dollars for protection during the strike.
