Detroit, Michigan - The base of a radar tower is all that is left of a Cold War-era Nike missile site on the Detroit River. Hundreds of the anti-aircraft missile sites were established around U.S. cities from the 1950s through the 1970s. This site controlled missiles located on Belle Isle, an island in the river. Canada is across the river.
